Multiplicity

Asiko is back, oh its true, its damn true and now we are on shutterchance. And thanx Duane, Jide and co. for giving my shutter a chance, get it ................shutter and chance....................geez tough crowd. Anyway U can see my old photoblogs at http://www.asikofoto.com/036.php.

This week I am running with a personality postcard theme, hence portraits portraits portraits. This is a shot from the weekend. Whatcha think? Any good? Your comments are very welcome and they don't have to be technical mumbo jumbo to get your point across, I am the least technical person here, trust me.

What does this shot convey to you? Is it worth of the phrase 'personality postcard'?                             Do you think I can do your portrait then? More to come during the week.

Also U can visit Mr Skee at www.remskibrown.co.uk, hopefully he'll join shutterchance SOON

A warm welcome to Shutterchance! We've been waiting a long time to see you here! The party is just beginning smile Mr Skee, where are you?

As for the photo, I like it! Good first pic you've chosen to launch your photoblog. Was the lady wearing a black t-shirt or was it all photoshop trickery?

Welcome dude.

I see you've decided to hit us hard with your arrival. It was worth the wait I have to say.

Nice one. Look forward to some more good stuff.
My comment on the shot.
Multiple personalities of a lady
1. Attention seeking.
2. Approval look, but they don't show it, totally.
3. Mind made up, they don't look back.

Young man...what is going on? smile
Since you asked for it.....sadly I say "No good!"
smile
To all you peeps, reading my comments who think i'm always harsh smile I am!

If your doing stuff like this, don't make it too static...let's see the motion, for instance of the head turning from left to right.

I'm liking you stuff more and more, so keep it up!
welcome, was surprised that the person who got me involved wasn't involved themselves so I am glad you've sorted that out now!

nice shot by the way, feel it could do with a bit more mystery though not sure how you would do that

Welcome bro. Nice of you to finally join us smile

I love the composition of the shot. I really likey.

Mr Skee, easy on the bro smile I hear you when you say movements/motions in the shot would be good. This works.

Asiko, can we have your camera settings next time. Alweays nice to know.

Also I know that there might be people in here thinking how did he do that? Give us a quick photography lessons. How exactly did you achieve this shot? What software did you use? Did you use 3 diff people? If no how did you do it?

Noticed people sometimes are to shy to ask these type of questions.

Who knows, I might learn something here.

Suby
Suby has a good point about telling us how you did it. I'll be the fisrt to ask.....

How did you do it Ade?

Thanks for all your comments
This shot was done over the weekend for a make-up artist, who wants to expand her portfolio. So she asked me to come in and do a few shots. It is a combination of three shots of the model with a black type background. I understand Mr Skee’s comments about the motion in the shots, however this is not what I was going for, it wouldn’t have been appropriate for the shot. (in the future I will be trying the motion capture multiplicity shot).
Anyway three shots roughly in the same position using the great Adobe photoshop. Jide has been teaching about layers, blending and masks, these were used very through out. I basically cropped the three shots and put them into another big black canvas and blended where necessary using masks.
I totally agree with BeakerSt I would love to make it more mysterious, any ideas? maybe some smoke?
Now that we’ve built up a little community, wouldn’t it be nice if we could once in a while have a theme challenge.
Meaning somebody sets a theme (rotation so everybody gets to set theirs) and then over a two/three day period everybody puts up their interpretation of the theme. This could be so much fun, maybe twice a month.
Whatcha think?

Duane; a bit of both, she had a black top and then i further darkend to blend with the background
