photoblog image The flower girl

The flower girl

I am running out of things to put up so I had to romage through my collection of photos to bring this one out. I know the flower is over-exposed in some parts, this was when I had just got my D-SLR and I was still learning to use it.

I took this shot at my friends wedding last year. The flower girl was so cute and beautiful I had to take a few shots of her, this one stood out to me. Whatcha think?

Another portrait tomorrow.

Nice contrast! A cute little girl.

I think you may have overdone the overlay effect a little. Other than that a solid image. Jon the answer to your question is on the photoblogs.org website. You will have to link your blog with your username...there is a FAQ there telling you how to do this. P.S. Do not sweat the overexposed portion sometimes it works well... In print it gets toned down quite a bit most of the time.
sk: overlay effect???? thanks for the comment and info
this is such a beautiful shot. Great colors and simple subject. Nicely done!

I love this! The overexposed flower just adds, it's like it's glowing in a fairy princess's hand.

Beautiful shot! I love how the background is blurred and she looks even more striking - almost 3D!
We have our wedding in May, I bet my flower girl would love to get a photo like this taken!

Everything's great, barring the exposure, which you know. Big deal--shots are always perfect, but her eyes are.

Great image. She has very beautiful eyes.
I like how she looks straight ahead right at the camera. Sometimes it is hard to adjust for all variables (e.g. small areas of overexposure) on the fly, but the result can still be dynamic.
Those beautiful eyes grab you as soon as you look at this image and the overexposed flower just melts into background. A fantastic softness and innocence in this shot.
