Amusements

Theme: Brighton

Brighton is known for its many amusements, whatever (and I mean whatever) your into, Brighton has got it. It is a very accepting place and people of different backgrounds can be found there. No matter your religious, gender or sexual orientation, Brighton will accept you with open arms.

As a student in Brighton I had a hell of a time and never wanted to leave after University was over. Last year I moved back to Brighton for a six month contract at a company situated outside Brighton, given the opportunity I would probably move back again.

Anyway I didn't have anything beautiful to put up, so I decided to put up a slightly gritty type shot of sea front amusement shop. Hope you like.

I did mess up with the framing as the A in Amusement is slightly cut off

Thank God its friday

The problem of creating an HDR image from one RAW file is all this noise you get. Nice shot.
sk: the noise was added for a gritty feel, thanx

sk: yeap all real, this is my second HDR shot this week, makes it surreal

Nice vivid colours

Still abit sloppy on the right hand side, what happened?
sk: Aha thank God U showed up. I am not perfect Oga, still trying. The shot was slanting and the only way to make it straight was to crop and rotate, hence i lost some of the A

almost a great shot! i do like the vivid colours and the composition but it is a little noisy.
sk: hmmmm.........thanks, I added the grain to give a gritty, seems it didn't work out too well
I like this image more than the one of Brighton Pavilion (which is an excellent image) because this one feels surreal and like a painting (as has already been said). Very nice work.
sk: thanks dude

Great result.
Could you see my first HDR work?
I'm not sure of the result.
How do you say?
Anyway I have to improve...

I like this a lot. I don't think it matters that you cut off a bit of the wording. I like the way the sunset works.
sk: Thanks Mike
Awesome shot.. cool effects.. the colors caught my eyes first.. did not even notice the cropped 'A'.. good work asiko!
sk: thank you
Surreal, almost jarring.. There's just something about that combination of the cut off word, the closed shutters, the weird glow and the sunset.

Nice image, seasides are great locations.
This is a very interesting photograph. Cutting off the "a" almost makes the picture more gritty and real. The composition, with both the horizontal and vertical lines, is quite attractive.
Lovely processing. I love the color and grain.
it's ok, i don't particularly like the post processing. i think it's overdone, and there is a glow coming off the building. the high grain and colors does make for an interesting image, just not in my taste.
