photoblog image DAMN!!!!!!!!!!

DAMN!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks people for ur lovely comments on yesterdays shot, i'm glad u all liked it.

Ok Suby challenged me to put up a duff shot and so I went in search of a shot done with my departed Casio compact (commonly known as a point and shoot). This shot was taken last in april last year, so its not even a year old, but its probably one of the oldest images I have (taken by me). After taking this image I knew I had to get an SLR quick, image quality on compacts is terrible in low light conditions.

I am a wrestling fan and one of the things I always wanted to do was go and see a wrestling event live, so when the wwe came to London last year I bought some tickets and went with a few friends. I can tell you this, it was one of the most entertaining things I have done. I really like this shot, its the whole moment of it. This picture is also close to my heart because the guy standing up right (without the mask) passed away early this year, he was one the best wrestlers in the world. RIP Eddie Guerrero.

CRAP!!!!!!!! gotta run, I can hear the technical boys sharpening their claws for this one.

Guess what bro? For a point and shot, from an unknown distance, me is impressed. I actually like the shot looking at it again, he seems quite suprised she is flashing him (lucky guy smile ) How this shot would look with a SLR???? OOoooohhhh, one can only dream.

Okay apart from the fact the shot is a bit on the blurry side, (not surprised as you must have been soo excited to be here smile ) Colour tones could be improved on a bit, it is really a good snap. Coupled with the fact you captured a picture of the since passed away wrestler this is one good memento to always keep and look back on. By the way (not a wrestling fan), how did he die?

Suby

As usual what editing was done on this image if any?
sk: thanx Subster. editing: increased contrast, tried to sort out the colour (which was worse than it is now), saturated a bit; all done using curves. removed the noise
That guy in the white has surely forgotten about the fight ;-)
sk: LOL yea he did
hmmmmm! When did this happen?
sk: whatcha mean? it happened last year april

The guy on the white seems very concentrated on the ehhmmm subject, did they fight after that? smile
sk: yea they did, she was trying to distract them so they would lose, it worked

Fabulous picture!!! Those two macho wrestlers seem just flabbergasted by that woman. I love the expression on their faces !
There is only one thing I can say. Buy new tickets and take some pictures with your new camera! ;-)

Love the looks on those two faces! Very fun shot. Shame about the wrestler, though. Looks like he was a good guy.
Amazing shot. Really love the expressions

The shot is let down by the camera, but I think you did a great job of timing and framing this one.

Una captura muy buena pese a que ha de ser muy difícil por la poca iluminación.

A very good capture although there is to be very difficult by the little illumination.

She could always tread on their toes with those boots, not standard issue.
THe teccies can moan but its a candid shot and I guess if you were 180 degrees round the other side of the ring it would be even more candid ;-)

It's a very good scene kind of funny yet I wish it was a bit sharper.I like the heads in the middle and it's pretty astonishing that everything behind the ring became black making the scene perfect.Great shot.
