Dem legs

Here are some legs, LOL. They belong to my lovely sister, geez I am always telling her stand here, pose like that, she is so sweet and helpful in my photography. Thanks Sis.

Anyway shes a little fashion mistress and I found the tights intriguing so I decided to take a photo. Any tips on how to take a better photo of this calibre? Ur thots on this shot are very welcome.

Thank God its friday

I agree with Attah - a potentially nice shot but there's just something not quite right.

Perhaps it's the fact that the shot's a tad bit close up or the interference of the rest of the model in the background or the glare of the white sheet and the way it reflects on the underside of one of her shoes or the way the other shoe has been cropped at it's tip???...just a few thoughts smile
sk: thanks Inu

I like the idea, as you probably know by now, of finding unusual ways to capture the ordinary. This is a very good example of that.

I like the composition - pretty keen on the legs too - but for me there are some minor distractions. Possibly the hand in the top right shouldn't be there for this shot (or if it is, the fingers should be unfurled), the foot on the left should be completely in frame and the whole thing could be a little sharper. But you should also know I'm no expert in this field
sk: thanks Hunter, I wanted to remove the fingers but for reason I couldn't bring myself to remove them

Nice shot.Soft fabrics, incredible details, beautiful soft textures that blend perfectly with the detailed black.Only tiny flaw is that the left part opf the image is a bit blurry (her right leg - the shoe). But overall - classy.

Fun shot for our Friday viewing, very nice. How great it is to have her as your model, you'll have to give her a share of your earnings when you make it big.

Nice concept... just don't quite like the way the foot is cut off at the edge of the frame on the left.

well, everyone else has said it all - Good, but for the foot. However, we can't win them all!

Nice, but not one of your best. A few of my thoughts:

1. Both shoes are cropped slightly; it might have been better to include the entire shoes.

2. The depth of field is a little too shallow for this type of shot. Fashion photography is almost always very wide or very narrow DOF; rarely in between.

3. The DOF combined with the shadow on her right leg tends to fuzz out the details in her stockings. The texture is very obviously a focal point for this shot, and blurring that tends to be a little jarring.

Keep shooting!
sk: thanks a lot Paul, that was very useful

I like the concept, but I think the main two problems are her hand being distracting and her feet not entirely in focus. Good effort though.

Idea is king. Likey the idea, not feeling the shot.

Red shhhs mode is this fella just playing into Subys's hand or what?)

However it is a Friday, why take life so seriously on a Friday knowiing I can leave the IT/management world behind at least for days.

So Asiko, nice try, not going to add my 2 bits today as it has all been said above.

Keep shooting bro. Never let that 1 (or in my case 100) off picture ever via you from your course of perfection in photography.

As always remember "Ars longa, vita brevis."

Have a lovely weekend Bro(In Brighton again?)

sk: Nah no brighton mate, will be shooting in London (hopefully)
