Portrait of a lady

We are reaching the last leg of my journey into blogging before I take some time off. So this will be my last week for a while before I disappear from shutterchance for a while.

Todays shot was taken two weeks ago from my trip in Brighton. I got my lovely lady to hold the flash above her head while I snapped away. It didn't quite come out as I wanted but I hope to perfect what I was trying to do (some studio flash would be great for this).

Whatcha think bout this portrait?

Nice portrait as asual.

About your answer question.
a) it's not bubble warp but water fallin in a red glass
b) It's a real person, friday night I shot during a play in a theatre. Not much light and movement: here the result.
sk: thanx Anda

I like the way your model looks at the source of light. Very nice portrait. This exercice seems very difficult to me, because it is very hard to be original and to achieve to please the model with the result.
sk: thanx

When I said you should visit the National Portraiture gallery, it wasn't a smart remark, I was just tired of seeing those holiday snaps grin. I really think your horizon needs to be expanded!
sk: I don't have anymore pics hence U will be subjected to my holiday snaps till the end of the week when I pack blogging in

Well done, the lighting and colors are really nice. I just checked out your archive and you have a lot of very professional portraits that are still interesting and usually avoid the cliche.

This looks like an old movie magazine pose, nice shot
Nice portrait. I like the texture of the wallpaper behind her.
Nice lighting,textures and colours.Like it.
The greens and oranges play with each other so well in this shot. Her looking off-frame adds a lot of mystery to the shot. I think you did very well on this one. Regards, Brent
