photoblog image Sea lights

Sea lights

Thank you to everyone who left a comment on my shot yesterday. For today I found a landscape to put up. Its amazing what you find when you dig into those archives. What do you think of todays shot?

I would love a house on the sea-front so I could see views like this.

Lovely colours, light and composition. Overall a good 'un.

Just a couple of minor niggles though: the horizon is wonky, and my eye went straight to this. The only other very minor thing is the small lighter area in the sea around the pennant hanging from the lamp post, as though you have burned in the sea (to great effect) but not gone right up to the pennant. It makes it 'glow' in that area and doesn't look quite right.

For me, if you could correct those two things, this is a real winner, even with 50% of it sky.

such a beautiful colors and great motif!! smile
Nice drama here. I like this one quite a bit. The colors are really amazing in the sky. I agree with chunter about the horizon. Fix that and it's a real stunner! Cheers, Brent

Wow, is a photo magnifies, sky, colors... all brilliant one.
Don't tell me that all your Brighton shots are finished? I mean all the shots you must have taken whilst on a break?

HDR? Okay I'll have to say as Suby would say, it's not working for me on this shot. I love the composition though.

Asiko,
I am quite a newcomer to your blog but this shoot looks majestic especially the capture of the rays and the colours. It looks like what an artist would have on his canvass. Well done
I like the light fixture against the sky.
sk: thanx Chris

Lord Vader

P.s.

Clarification......
I'm bored why? cause I know you CAN TAKE lovely images like these. You are the man when it comes to landscapes (happy now). I however NEED VARIETY mate. I want to see you stretch yourself. For crying out loud, step out of your comfort zone.

I know you can do it cause i call feel the force in you young Jedi. smile
sk: U know U my photobloggin homie, I was being to cheeky. CRAP I was wishing I would get rid of U.
And I know I am not providing variety, thats bcos I am really busy these days and its hard to find stuff. I know ur busy as well preparing for Ur big day, hence U ran off and let Sinem take over.
Yes I know I am in my comfort zone right now, but it will have to do for now, maybe tomorrow I'll have something slightly different since u asked nicely.
PS I stopped using the force a while, its a frigin waste of time for goodie goodies like urself and Jide. I am on the Dark side dude, tis very naughty. have a nice one

enjoy this composition, particularly the sun rays
Son. You need to move away from this Brigton Shots. Its all kinda mundane nowsad. I know u got talent. Use it..London is a big city with Variety..Tired of them sky and pavillion shots.

Nice pic though.. looks almost like a Banner that is being carried in front of an army going to war!
sk: thanx dude. don't live in London man and i am really busy at work these days hence not enuff time to shoot

99p is not equal to £1.

Such a lovely skyline, terrific, only to be disturbed by that dreadful pole, caught at the wrong angle.

The placement of the pole mind you, is spot on, but it does does nothing to add value to the picture.

My old master Art teacher always told me " Make every stroke of your brush count", and would always question each part of my "Monster piece" painting. Here in photography, it should be no different!

I have a pretty low tolerance for cheesy, but this isn't bad and the shot looks cool. I like the color and framing. Chunter's comment is right one and perhaps one of the more helpful comments I've seen someone give on a photoblog(precise critizisms plus how the problems stack up against the photo as a whole).

I always take my stuff from the archive version too. LoL. However, here's the disadvantage, the theme keeps repeating. Pretty boring this way. Anyway, I like the visible light rays and the composition for this shot!
