Seaside story

OOPS!!!!!!!!!! another landscape with a sky LOL. Last shot on the blog for a while............ promise. I love landscapes and this is one of the reasons I got into photography, to be able to capture my surroundings with an infusion of colour and light, I always hope these come through in my images.

So whatcha think of this?

OK I will be absent from shutterchance for a while. I love blogging but sometimes it is frigin hard work and I need some space from that. It also isn't always fun and when something becomes less fun to me, I need to create some space before I hate it. As a result I will leave shutterchance for a while and continue shooting (which could never stop).

I also seem to have a block as I have lost my inspiration and creativity.

Keep blogging my people.

sk: thanx Bruno
This is a pretty sad day. If you would have left on yesterday's post, it would have been easier to take. I can understand your decision to step back a second; you not only have obligations in the digital world but you have obligations in the real world...the most important being the needs you require. One person wrote on your last post about rarely feeling excitement about photography; I don't think that's an anomally for photography enthusiasts...it's probably fairly common. We all get spurts of inspiration but we also get into ruts where it is actually smart to step away from the shutter fo a while...smart to step away from the blogging world, for sure.

The problem is not your decision to take a hiatus but that you left us with this photo. This is great work, inspired work. I can see why this capture got you into photography. Hopefully this shot is the inspiration you need for your next masterpiece. And for a guy who isn't too keen on landscapes, but hugely into big skies, you know I couldn't resist this one. Kind regards, Brent.
sk: Thanks very much Brent, keep posting those nice abstracts of Urs

Well a young Jedi has got to do what a young Jedi has got to do.

May the force be with you on you journey for inspiration. I know onr thing. When you get back from your quest. You will come back with some images that will blow us all away.

sk: The young Jedi will become a Jedi Master, the evolution has begun Lord Vader, the phoenix will rise again LOL

Going to miss your daily updates, but oh well, a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. Hope you come back soon. smile
sk: by the time I'm back U'll probably have ur OWN blog LOL, I am happy u've taken a liking to photography and have improved a lot since U started. Some guy called Luke Skywalker once told me that I have the 'eye' I just need to train it, I'll say the same to you. Good luck with everything

Asiko, fantastic photograph, as usual. So atmospheric. I am really sad to hear you have to leave. But of course you know what you gotta do. Sometimes you need to take a step back to move forward (kinda like a long jump). I do hope you come back to continue to inspire us. All the best. Nkemo
sk: Madam Nkem I will be back soon jare, ur right though about the long jump

OK asiko (Ade), have a great break. Thanks for YOUR inspiration.

I have found many members' work here inspirational so if that's what you're lacking at the moment, why not just view a few of the archives from time to time without posting. There's such a variety of ideas here, and on other blogs and web sites too, that I'm always inspired by something.

Happy hunting, whatever you do, and do come back when you've rediscovered your creativity. Thanks for sharing your work thus far.
We'll be here when you return...just come back soon!

I think this is another wonderful shot...I am inclined to crop these shots quite harshly and display a narrow band of the image, just a personal style though. Lovely colours.

Thanks for your comments on my blog. This is a beautiful image- I am sorry to hear you are taking a break from the blogging thing... but I understand.
Really good looking shot and wonderful sky, however i'm not really fan of the "too HDR looking" for the colors and the strange opacity of birds on the bottom left
