Antonia

No not a new shot, I said I ain't back yet, well not fully. I am expecting a new PC and as a result I am not processing anything new, so this is an old shot.

This is the lovely Antonia who is great at posing for me, shes a real pal. Some of you may have seen this before as it was posted on the auditions side of shutterchance.

Processing: conversion to b&w using channel mixer and cropping for more impact.

niiiiiiicceeee!
lovely model, lovely lighting, lovely conversion to b&w.
though having come this far i find the left arm awkwardly placed. its the kind of response i would get if i walked in on a lady who wasn't expecting me....

Ilooked at this shot a few seconds after it was posted yesterday. I did not like it, but thought I should give it some time to grow on me. I also decided to see what others thougt, maybe it was just me being funny. So I waited and read all the lovely comments this got.

I look at it again for the 100th time and I still don't like. Why?
The pose just does not work for me, the lighting is a no no, the conversion to monochrome, ummmm.

What I like somewhat about this shot however is the angle of her head. The hands though just come out of no where I feel to kill this shot. The "hands" are positioned wrong. I have a couple of shots like these myself, i will endeavour to find one and post up one of these days. Composition and lighting is king with shots like these. You really have to think when taking these shots.

I know I am the only voice of dissent here but the more I look at the shot, the less I like it. Sorry. (It's the hands)
