photoblog image A weed of beauty

A weed of beauty

Series: My "flower type" shots.

The last image in the series is of these weeds that people see around (sorry I don't know the name, any ideas?). There are blue bells, sunflowers and grass in the background which produced the colours U see. At first I thought I would desaturate them completely, but on second thought I decided to leave them. I thought it added to the shot, I might be wrong (the techies (shutterchance police) will have my head for this one, or will they?). Whatcha think?

I really wish I had someone to blow these while I took a picture but there was no one around, DAMMIT!!!!!!!!!

Any ideas on the name of this floffy weed?

PP: Curve adjustments for colur and contrast

And who are the shutterchance police? I'd rather not name any names for fear of my life.

This definitely makes my dandelion look pale. Anyhow I really like this kind of look, it works really well on shots with lots of colours, I have seen jide use it on a couple of his shots. I will really like to try it.

Great details in your main flower, and nice colours in the background! Good shot.
Glad to see another dandelion enthusiast. Sure they're weeds, but they have a wonderful ephemeral summer beauty. I love the angle and the background colors.

I actually like this shot.
Shot in shutter Priority, Why?
At ISO 800, Why?
With Apperture of f/10, you goT that one spot on smile
Love the angle of the shot, works for me.
I would have liked to see the "DANDELION" in the background fully in the shot.
All in all, a very good shot.

For me the DOF and the blue in the background make this shot! Your composition works very well. (For some reason I personally would maybe have framed the scene a little more to the left, so the dandelion in focus would have more space to breathe and the other one was slightly more cut off.)
Excellent capture, DOF. Regards, Brent
