photoblog image The bride and the bouquet

The bride and the bouquet

Yes I know some of you have seen this before but most of you haven't. A lot of people in my age range are beginning to get married and the wedding season has formally started, so heres my take on weddings. I took this shot last year at a friends wedding. I found her bouquet interesting so I went down to a lower angle and shot.

Suby and Sinem are getting married this weekend, this shots for you guys, have a great day on saturday, love from moi.

Again please acknowledge if you think the theme experiment is a good idea. If you don't what I'm talking about, please read:                                                                                                                                      I have an idea; why don't we start a theme every other week or every week. So at the end of the week we post a picture on a particular subject chosen by whoever. It would be great to see what everybodys interpretation of the same subject is. I really think this is a good idea, what do you think?

Also could anybody suggest what the first theme should be, or should I have a go............... I really wanna hear ur thots on this.

Very, very, nice! It really tells the story. Everything just fits! Excellent. I don't know how you would improve upon it. OK, one thing that keeps yanking at my eye is the window or hole in the top upper right hand corner, but that's it.
sk: thanx Paul

Nice shot!
I think its a lovely idea. But being technical minded I'm wondering how it would work, particularly for those who don't post on a daily basis (like me).... Probably we need another interface for that.... Then again I have a love for complicating things grin
sk: thanx Deji. it would happen just twice a month on a friday. dates would be announced in the bulletin. so u have two weeks to be able to come with something

The background in this image also helps tell teh story, with the slightly out of focus camera rising above the bouquet and the smiling (bridesmaid?) also in the background. Great composition.

I remember this shot. I see with this version you toned down the colour on the gold bag - not so distracting anymore.

Love this shot and especially its dynamic composition! Captures the atmosphere perfectly and I would be glad, if I have gorgeous pictures like that from my wedding one day (should I ever get married ;-). I am very glad you posted it, because I had not seen it before.

A fantastic persepctive. It kinda loos like the bride's gonna drop the flowers and run off.GREAT GREAT SHOT!
Suby : how dare you grin
Sorry Ade, not liking the angles in this one. Lovely subject and I like the expressions in the DOF just not keen on the presentation angle sad
This is a nice shot I like the perspective. The woman in the background taking her own picture is a nice touch.

I think this is a wicked shot. The angle and perspective are a creative approach. Regarding your idea about themes...I recently found a site called http://weeklyshot.org that is based on this idea.

I love the angle of this shot. With the flowers by her side, you caught the mood of everyone being relaxed at the moment.
