Siblings of summer

Thanks to everybody for their comments yesterday.

I am going back to my still life roots. I seem to have abandoned still life photography for portraits and landscapes, so here's oldie from my point and shoot days. Before I bought my SLR I learnt the basics of photography with my trustee Casio compact (got bored with it after 3 months though).

Now for out theme; the plan initially is put up a notice board indicating the theme and day of posting. Posting will be done on everybodys individual blog on the day of the theme. It is all very new and hence no new pages will be set-up for it yet. The plan is to see how it develops and if succesfull, then pages and programs will be set up for it in the near future.

Anyway I have a list of suggestions of themes based on what people have said : Fruit, shutter speed, dreamscape, reflection, water, bottle, spring, flash shots, my secret place.........

Ok those were a few, any ideas on which we should pick for the first one, the theme day would be the 9th June, which is enough time to get a shot. Ur thots my people.

Asiko, I'd love to love this, but its hard when there is very little detail and so much blur.

However, on a lighter note, the composition is wonderful.

Loving the fab colours!
Lacking a tiny bit of sharpness but I think it looks better without it.

Super composition but too soft on the key parts for my liking.

To pick a theme, how about (1)Fruit, or (2)Water, or (3)Bottle ..to keep it simple to begin with. Most people should be able to find any of these to get the ball rolling

love your title. like how you positioned the flowers but like any macro shot, there must be an eye for details. for awhile, i thought i have the problem of focusing, hehe.

Very good focus on the daffodils and really good use of Glow really makes you look at them as soon as you see the picture...ver lively colours...
A bit blurry, but nice especially the colours!
A nice composition although it is very soft. The colours are nice though

agree with chunter, something simple to start the theme with.....though i like the subjects secret place and dreamscape also a lot..... maybe if everybody likes it and paricipates it will be a succes.

The background is fighting for attention (especially the bright bit in the middle). But good job with the placement of the flowers in the frame as well as the exposure.

i presume the slight blur was deliberate to highlight the soft warm light? but lovely nonetheless.
