Reach for the sky

Thanks to everybody for their comments yesterday. Back to still life. I took this about a month ago outside where I live and I was gonna post it a while ago but other shots kept getting in the way. Anyway I finally got it up, whatcha think?

Its just tuesday, geez I wish it was friday already......................

Note: A friend of mine just joined shutterchance, please check out his blog and help me welcome ANDY.

If your nigerian or african or have a general interest in african affairs please check out afroklectique

I really like this one, your signature flower shot and the blue is lovely too.....okay and on the note of the fruit, if I win what do I get? what are the rules? Guidelines?

Nice one Asiko. This is really nice. You make these "weeds" look intresting.

I honestly cannot find anything bad about this shot. I even like the grain. smile And I want to ask the same question as Jide. What are the guidlines?

you know the grainy effect kinda work out for this image. I like how the weeds' heads are positioned and how you made an interesting angle in such a way that they seem to be "reaching" for the sky. or maybe it's just me. great nonetheless.
awesome angle...they look so tallsmile

I agree with others that like the grainy effect here. It gives it an illustrated or painterly feel which works well.

Great perspective as well. Those look like rather tall dandelions.

I don't really like the whole canvas effect, but I like the perspective in this. Did you have to lie on the ground for this shot? Lovely colours and composition too, nicely done.
Very nice perspective. I like it. Cheers, Brent

I like how you put your interpretation on this. There is something bothering me about it but I am not sure what it is. It may be that the central head is a little too central for my tastes. Still a lovely capture and the grain effect does work well. Top stuff
