photoblog image The entrance

The entrance

Its the wedding season and people are seriously hitching up. I took this shot in the summer of 2005 but only decided to PP last night. The bride and groom are friends of mine and they had the most beautiful wedding I have ever been to. The bride was exceptionally happy and I was beginning wonder whether she was on something. Love....................... Your feelings on this image?

IIIIiiiiiiiii dig it.

Asiko, well done lad. I love everything from the overexposed glass to the overexposed flowers in her hand. I think it actually works in this photo. It gives it more of a glowy/dreamy feeling.

Plus, she looks cute! Everyone is happy and with a fresh and unique smile. I love happy photo's smile

Hey! How come he's not carrying her over the threshold?
Seriously, the happiness is tangible. Nice!
sk: LOL I thot he carries her over the threshold when they get home, not at the reception.

She probably was on something! It's nice to see people liberated at a wedding. I don't like big gatherings, so I could never get that cheerful. Anyway, nicely done. You really captured the emotion. Everyone looks like a million bucks there! Cheers, Brent
sk: Thanx Brent, so I guess U'll be having a small wedding huh

For me when I cover weddings i concentrate on capturing emotion. All the post processing aside, what makes this shot for me is the bride. This is as good as it gets in wedding photography.
sk: thanx Mr Kamson, yea its all about emotion and moments

Sterling work here àsìkò. Well positioned in good time for the arrival and you captured the moment perfectly.

The colours seem to be spot on too! Next time I'm invited to do a wedding shoot, I will ask the bride to ensure the men are in grey rather than darker suits. It's a much kinder dynamic range for the camera to cope with.
sk: LOL yea I don't think dark suits are nice at weddings and its much nicer to the camera, thanx for stopping by dude

Good timing to capture the couple's emotions. I do however, find the large areas of overblown curtain/door kinda distracting tho.

Really good lighting - all the people seem to be just glowing. You've really captured the emotion. However, I'm with denosha & shooter with regards to the door. Not that you could have done anything about [ok, hold that position folks, I've just got to get this door off its hinges...]
