I took this trying something different, I would really want to know what U think. Do you like it or hate it. Its not what I would usually do but some reason I couldn't help myself. Is there a way I can improve it? I want some constructive feedback. I'm in red shmood so let it rip. LOL

Your thots my people?

well done! i really dig the layout of this shot. in particular, i like the angle in which you captured the building. it stands in nice contrast to the ferris wheel. the sky frames the shot beautifully. i would be interested to see how the shot looks after being converted to monochromatic. all in all....great capture.
sk: hmmmmmmmm..........monochrome, i'll give it a go, for some reason it never crossed my mind, thanx Nicole

I always love to see unique captures like this! I really can't think of a way you could improve on this composition. You've got some beautiful colors on the windows of the building and great cloud formations. Nice work.
sk: thanx very much Micki

That is an unusual shot, and I see you meant to have a slightly abstract look to it. If that's your goal, I think you could make it better by cropping off the bottom of the frame to isolate just the ferris wheel and the repetetive part of the building.
sk: I agree Veloran, thanx very much
unusual is the word!

seems beautiful to me.. view of the lively sky .. as if displaying the distance that man might be creating staying in closed buildings..n movin away from the nature.. clouds appear to whisper out their thoughtful concerns.. they appear warm..n protecting..
sk: WOW thanx, deep stuff
Dnt like it, dont HATE it either...you can do a lot better than this..Guess you had to lay back and give the rest of us a chance to shine huh grin

OK, you asked for it, I don't like it but will tell you why.

1. I think you wanted to use the building to balance the wheel but I'm not sure where I am supposed to be looking? Too many things are vying for my attention.
2. There is lovely cloud detail behind the wheel but you've got a huge blownout area of sky above the wheel (as if I needed to tell you where!) which distracts.
3. The 'bits' at the bottom are a distraction and make it look more like a holiday snap of 'my trip to London'. There is also a helicopter that should have been cloned out.
4. The building is slightly dark/underexposed and maybe you tried to lighten it at the expense of the sky.
5. I like how you've tried something and I think you were trying to show the wheel against the huge building. You could have taken it much closer to the building with exactly half of the wheel exposed against the building edge.

All just imho! wink
sk: hmmmmmm................ what a detailed analysis, thanx man, i will be coming over to ur desk in a minute with a crowbar
Haven't read the other comments but I don't like it.

The slant on the building is fighting with that of the frame. The eye is out of balance, kinda like yesterdays image to far at the bottom and seems to be competing for attention. I don't like the way the clouds have been processed either. Is that a helicopter above the eye?

I like the unique angle, It's very good but it's not really grabbing me the way I would like, not sure why. Maybe my eye doesn't really know where to go.

for me it's a great shot
i like the vertical lines contrasting with the curves
great contrast bt circle shape of the big wheel and the square box of the building....i think i like itsmile))
I like that the building seems to dwarf the Ferris Wheel. Nice play of different shapes.
