Spin

This is another shot from saturday. I spent a lot of time trying to sort out the lighting but was able to get some of my creative ideas into the mix. I appreciate the comments from yesterday, and it is helping me improve my craft. This is my main reason for being on shuterchance, to improve my photography.

Lately I hardly process my images, its all done in RAW format and converted via RAW shooter (a bit of contrast, sharpen and maybe colour temp change). I have found I hardly have the time to sit down and do serious processing as I used to before. This has made me focus on improving my photography and sort stuff out before I shoot. I can tell U right now, its harder than I thought. I would love to get to the stage of not photoshopping at all, but alas thats a dream. What do you think? and what do u think of todays shot?

For the lovely ladies who posed for me on saturday, I love u very much and I thank u from the bottom of my heart, we will do it again soon.

Theme announcement:  Our next theme is on the 7th of July, theme title is "alone", thanx to Simon aka BeakerSt, not Ade, I repeat NOT Ade.

This is absolutely beautiful! The color contrast is great... very creative!
sk: thanx very much
Nice shot, very shimmery. And your 100th Image. Hip Hip Hooray. And the angle works for this I don't usually like the tilty thing. I might have used a slower shutter to get the motion blur in her arms though.
sk: thanx man, i didn't even notice it was my 100th image
wow! this is a very cool shot. i really like the transparent element of the item that the girl is twirling. you were able to capture the spinning motion, yet the girl is stationary, and we are able to see all of this through the transparent object. sweet capture!
sk: the wonders of flash photography, it freezes motion very well, thanx for stopping by and commenting
Nicely played on this one, the slant makes this more appealing than if it was shot straight up vertical,
great how you got her good through the fabric.
sk: thanx Neil

Very nicely done bro. As to not processing all your shots, welcome to the real world bro. smile As I always say, try getting it right 1st time while shooting or as close as possible so any photoshoping if needed can be kept to the barest minimal. I have taken shots and apart from converting to JPEG from RAW, gone.. "that's fine, PRINT"

To today's shot, it does not blow me away, does not mean it is not a lovely shot, it is.. okay it's the look on her face, for me (personal opinion folks) it just does not go with the obvious fun theme of the shot, would have preferred to see her smiling & see more of her eyes.

But that just me.

Lovely, I think you've done very well to get the lighting and focus spot on and I like the sense of movement. The backdrop really sets it off for this, looks a little like Kenwood?

p.s. thanks for crediting me with the theme challenge...now I get the blame setting this up! Does that mean if I post a duff one I can claim I did it on purpose?
sk: yes Kenwood, well done Simon. U couldn't put up a duff shot Mr BeakerSt

Wow! This is really amazing. I LOVE!!! this shot!!!

I am photoshop challenged, so I can really appreciate and applaud that you are trying to use it less. I think it's great.

I know I should learn more about Post processing, but I just get too frustrated and it really takes the joy out of photography for me when I get that upset about doing post processing.

I will eventually get Photoshop CS2 (I have PS6) and then maybe there will be more tutorials that I can use. But it may just remain a frustration for me. Meantime, I strive to improve what I capture in the first place so I don't have to worry so much about PP.

I like the way you caught the motion and can still see her.

The way you caught the motion is great as well the color of the fabric. Maybe I would have chosen another background, so I can concentrate more on the lady and her elegant pose.
