I have the same problem. I posted a shot the other day of a bridge over the sand dunes at the bayside beach and it loses a lot when reduced to this size. It looks awesome as my desktop image though.

Anyway I can tell this would be a better shot if able to be viewed in a larger size. The sky looks really dramatic.
sk: thanx very Laurie, yea it looks better on a larger scale
I think you have too much contrast in this HDR. It's a lovely image though.
sk: too much??? U know me, I tend to have a contrast problem, theres never enuff contrast LOL

ahn ahn...... this is quite mad still!! It doesnt look real tho... after the processing sad. Good composition tho smile
sk: ahn ahn auntie, it wasn't meant to look real. photography for me is not always about realism, its about art and expression.

Lovely dark ominous sky...now I see why you were telling me to try HDR yesterday
sk: yeap HDR helps a lot. shot three shots with different exposures OR shot in RAW and create three exposures. Combine in HDR software and bob's ur uncle

Great collection of textures ( the beach - the water - the sky) arranged in a very interesting perspective. Blue works for me too - LIKE the way it's a bit extreme smile

Nice contrast of textures here. Although I can see the halos from the HDR combination especially around the dark building on the left and the horizon edge on the right. Still a good shot though. smile Btw, tried a Grad ND? :p

HDR is only in PS CS2....guess i have to be patient to try to make such amazing photo's.
You're right...its not about reality...it's art!
sk: HDR is not only PS2, photomatix is the software ur looking for
