photoblog image Monochrome melodies

Monochrome melodies

Why Why Why. I made a silly mistake shooting this at a slow shutterspeed. This was one of those pick up ur camera before U adjust the settings and shoot bcos U saw a nice moment, basically I didn't think. Funnily enuff I really like this shot and thats why its up here today. More so I love it in black & white. This was taken two weekends ago on a shoot with the famous Mr Alakija.

Yes and yesterdays shot was shot at ISO 1600, a mistake on my part. All feedback given on the image was taken onboard, the main point I got out of it was the crop, which I have changed. Thanx for all the input people. There was no PS on yesterdays image, the brightness of the background was as a result of a softbox flash I placed behind the couple.

The technical people will have my head for this one LOL

As i'm not a technician, you're head is not going to fall with my comment ;-D
By chance I think that photography is overall an art.
This "mistake" produce a very creative shot, wich is underlined by the dynamic angle of perspective : It works pretty well for me !
sk: LOL thanx very much
you know I like what I see, the detail on the guitar, the blur...the b/w, half the subject's face I can see...I could go on.....all this techie mumbo jumbo is too much for my un-photography trained mind...

let the techie people have the day off, you have a lovely shot here.....

p.s
my random msg yesterday was for dammie, fear not!

It would be a very different picture if it were crisply focussed. For me this gives much more of a sense of activity and vibrancy and a very cool laid back feel to the music that I can almost hear!

Lovely lovely shot.
sk: thanx dude appreciate it much that U take the time leave a comment

its a great shot àsìkò,

it has a timelessness and i can almost hear the sound he's playing.
He must be a very passionate musician, at least that's what the picture tells.

i think the cropping worked well with this image. the right perspective and the line of sight justify it. was she really playing the guitar or was it for a great pose?
