photoblog image Rising silhouette

Rising silhouette

Todays self-portrait is a bit different (and very hard to do). This is basically me in my bathroom in the morning before work. As you can see I am half awake but was seriously inspired by the morning sun slipping through the window........................... I had to try a shot and this is the result. I know the door by the left may be distracting, honestly without it the image looked like a floating ball of light and I wasn't happy with it.

I wish I had more time to sleep.

In my humble opinion. This is back on form! great atmosphere and lighting. Tiny gripe would be that the left hand side of the frame is almost unecessary? What do you think? Mal
sk: thanx Mal, read my comment above about the door 'I know the door by the left may be distracting, honestly without it the image looked like a floating ball of light and I wasn't happy with it.'

I love silhouettes and shadows and this shot in particular. As I said before, I'm loving ths series. A good title for the shot would be 'Cock crow at dawn'.

No crack at your hair, honest.

You're not shy are you!
sk: U know me, never shy............
this is great àsìkò and leaving the door in was a good choice.

in the mornings I am woken by a parrot that has been living with me this past year. and usually theres a cat optimistically purring close to my face. eventually one or the other suceeds in getting me up.
sk: LOL thanx Russell, geez a parrot, they never shut up
