Itsy bitsy scary

I don't think todays has the impact of yesterday, however when I was shooting, this image seemed stronger, guess the PP of yesterdays changed things a bit. If you are wondering what the background light is, its my trustee flash gun. I wanted to create silhouette so I positioned the flash behind the spider to create the silhouette.

So how does this one come across? has it got my impact than yesterday?

hey asiko,

i like this shot a lot, however i like the impact of yesterday's shot better. i really liked the effects of yesterday's shot, however that's not to say that this shot isn't great. i really like the position of the spider and the way that it is silhouetted against the light. i also really like the fine details of the web in this shot.

GREAT shot, i love that i can see the little details like the cob web and the little hairs on the spider, the blueish light cast also gives it a very goth look. I LOVE IT.
It doesn't have the detail of yesterday's shot but I don't think that it is any less a shot for it. Its a great shot.

Isn't strange... Some people hate spiders... When I'me behind my Nikon and shot that, I think to nothing and I call that happyness...Do you feel the same ?

Bravo and see you soon.

Roland
sk: Thanx Roland, I definitely feel the same

I prefer this, close up shots are not necessarily always interesting unless you are shooting for a text book. This works better for me as you have positioned the light behind the subject and there are no distracting intrusions.

oh wow , this is like so real. I tried taking a spider web, but the light just didnt make it work. Yeah thanks, next time i'll try the silhouette. I was so mad, it was funny on that day. Nice shot Asiko.
