photoblog image The make-up behind the mask

The make-up behind the mask

Some old images this week cos I haven't had the time to process new images. This was a from a shoot I did for a make up artist sometime last year (oh my God I have been shooting for close to two years, that just dawned on me).

A little about me; I started photography in Feb or Mar 2004 (I forget the specifics, seems like a long time ago) when I bought my first camera a casio compact. In June I decided to step up and get a camera with more creative control and hence I got a Canon 350D. This year God willing I am hoping to step up again. Not sure what I will get, we'll see, any suggestions?

Its amazing what I've learnt from people around me, bloggers and photographers. This image must have taken me like 2 mins to process, knowledge really is power. Last year the same image could have taken an hour to process.

This is a very impressive piece of work àsìkò. Compliments to the makeup artist, model and photographer. Together you have produced a very eye-catching image.
sk: yes make-up always makes things look dramatic
Very nice B&W portrait. The light highlights the face beautifully

Brilliant use of negative space, excellent pose and the effects of the netting and makeup are very very complimentary.

Bravo to makeup, wardrobe, lighting and plastic netting departments...oh and cameraman.
