All by my self

Theme: Confessions of a self obssessive

Very early on saturday morning I decided to go shooting as I hardly ever do that these days with my busy schedule. So as the sun was rising I decided to use the sunlight and surroundingenvironment to produce some self portraits ( I didn't find any landscapes inspirational).

As much as I love the company of others I love to be alone sometimes and enjoy my company with a bit of music (right now I am enjoying Madeleine Peyroux; jazz singer and Razorlight; indie band).

Self portraits are hard to do, especially when it comes to the framing and composition.

I just love the thought of you running back to the camera each time...you know you need a remote shutter release wink

I do like this although I'd prefer it if you looked either standing or sitting, the height of the seat is giving a half and half appearance. You know I'm piccy tongue

Interesting shot, I think it is a skill to take these self portraits, never like what I always come up with when I take images of myself, but maybe it's cause I don't look good in front of the camera grin

sk: hmmmmmm............. u should be fine with them mate, ur decent looking lad
nice frame àsìkò, and I like the title too
Good job with this one. I don't like to do self portraits, partially because of that.
thankfully for you, you never seem to have a problem with composition in selfportraits and thats why theyre one of your strengths...surprised you havent turned this to mono and added your typical touch of drama...

Hello Ade, I like this style, looks very smooth! I can see why you used the park to convey "being alone". Was the clothes part of the plan? What I mean is, you are wearing something very upbeat, trendy and popular (meaning many people), and your setting is natural, and untamed by man and his desire to build big tower blocks towards the heavens... A busy, upbeat gentleman seeking peace (trees, nature behind). I can understand that feeling of wanting to get away from it all, and think about other things (conflict free) besides work, thesis, and friends with relationship issues... I just walk and walk until I get so tired that I can't do much else but sleep. I like this scene; for some reason, it reminds me of several British soap operas such as, Emmerdale, Eastenders and Coronation St. Probably because they spend so much time in three places, pub, home, and parks... Have a good week Ade, another strong photograph!

sk: thanx very much Raymond
