photoblog image Red light branches

Red light branches

Theme: The search for the quintessential tree shot

Todays image had a lot of problems, I couldn't get the exposure right, because of the high contrast (caused by the sun) . The tree on the right kept getting in the way. To make matters worse I only had few minutes to do get the shot bcos my fiancee was in the car and I couldn't keep her waiting. Oh well better luck next time.

Like yesterday some crazy post processing happened here LOL. I do agree with everybodys comments about the vignetting, it was a bit too much, thanx all. Interesting to hear what U think about todays.

you're right, would be tons better without the tree on the right. but i like the coloring choice and the lighting...the leaves on the subject tree contrast excellently with the trunk and limbs.

Looks like an IR shot in some ways. The thicker branch middle right is a bit intrusive and I reckon you could clone it out. It would make it quite a nice picture.

Trees...hmmm...
I think you have some excellent tree shots
I like the processing
feeling the tone. this looks very close to home
It somewhat resembles a IR shot. There are some smudged spots on the right, probably glare I suppose.

Not quite there yet...keep hunting, I'm sure you will find it.
Ugh...I meant my other right!!!

Good morning...I think I should have stayed in bed this morning.

U might be closer than you think in getting that shot :d

Suby
the tree itself is amazing and i like the slight halo around it...but the rest of the pic seems not to match the tree or just a bit off(eg. bottom left)...

nice shot. The tree looks like its being blown away. The leaves at the top left bother me though...
