photoblog image I found you

I found you

New week here already and I am glad cos I am going home to my wife. (and no it is not my wife in the image above, its a dear friend Antonia Soares, who was my very first model when I started shooting). Heres a very old image with some very new post processing. Another piece of fine art portraiture that I have been working on for the portfolio. That seems to be all I do these days as I am working on my website and developing a portfolio book for potential clients. I am finding it out its all about the portfolio both electronic and hard copy, which are basically a CV for a photographer.

A dilemma I have to deal with is what exactly does one put in a portfolio, is it stuff you like shooting? is it stuff you want to shoot for a client? or a combination. I have fashion images, fine art images, creative portraits etc and I am still trying to put the right images together for the portfolio..........

As soon as the site is up I will post a link for anyone interested in seeing a collection of my work.

As you rightly said your portfolio is your CV...just simply include what you will normally input in a CV...a bit of everything...I guess...
sk: photography CVs are a different matter though
Lovely.
sk: thanks Dawn

So many questions about the portfolio, no question about your picture, IT IS STUNNING and have a save trip home to your wife.

Good work Asiko....What you like should be portrayed as well. People are open to new Ideas..and Fine art photography is no ordinary photography in my books.

I think this is a beautiful portrait, very unusual and one that shows your skill.

I haven't any real clue about a portfolio, but I'd assume it was the same as a CV - variable according to the need. I think you are likely to need to select images that you think will attract a particular client, and leave out those you think they may dislike.
Not so easy to do with the web though, I think there that you'd need a wider range showing a broader area of expertise.

really quality stuff here.
This one is kinda spooky. Re your CV it has to be what sells surely.
i love this!

lemme see...what would i do different...not much...i guess i'd bring out her face a little more by making those artistic textures just a tad more transparent.
Antonia is now your wife??? Dude. Easy!

I think I would have cropped this abit tighter!

Cool stuff!
stunning portrait.

Congratulations on a beautiful portrait, Asiko. I love the processing. And what a great model. You captured her essence very well - speaks to the camera.
