Fine art portrait

For the past two years I have been playing around with my photography trying to discover my style and what I like ................. still working on that, maybe one day I'll get there. The portrait above is something I like to create, its what I consider my fine art portrait, which is mixing the old with the new. I love looking at old images and paintings and trying to figure out the lighting used, so I sometimes can be found at a museum (not often enuff) or surfing tthe net.

When I shoot portraits, I try to create an image with a mood, the mood affects lighting, composition and post production, geez thats a whole lotta thinking, my heads hurting already.

Thanks for stopping by on my blog today.

I want a Canon 5D Mark II already ............

This is fabulous ... It reminds me very much of Picasso's favourite lady friends who he painted on numerous occassions.

Lovely portrait. I like the aged effect as it looks quite genuine. She looks kind of wistful.

A really nice classic pic!
sk: oh yea ............ how come u got one, u don't need it either
how does it perform?
well done
lovely pp
asiko: excellent use and balance of tonality, texture, positive/negative space, direction of movement, and of course, moment of expression. Congratulations. Yeah, I want to replace my 5D with the Mark II as well...you know, we'll hardly be able to see any image improvement at all, but there are so many other improvements that it will be worthwhile. Maybe it's time to sell the 'Blad and the 5D, and replace them with a Mark II and a 50D (backup body and 1.6X multiplier for my 200 and 400). That might just do it for another 5-8 years, or forever.
Cheers
Hermosa foto

Wow! Wonderful portrait with a great mood. I like the added textures a lot.
