photoblog image Sons of God

Sons of God

When I work on shoots, they are more ideas or concepts. I love the idea of developing a concept into a visual like this image. This is from my Sons of God series. I am not going to explain my thought process on this one ..................... hopefully it speaks for itself or speaks to you.

If you have any thoughts I would love to hear them, whatever they are.

Like the priest I am praying that one day I can be a fulltime photographer and create symbolism based photographs ............... Its a dream I know

Is it me or have I seen this already? still looks great. That dream can come true...I can't for the life of me figure out why you can't do it right this second.
sk: LOL you've seen this on facebook
what's stopping u?
sk: a mortgage
Amen !!! You ll be a fulltime fotographer soon. I liked your visuals. Nice one!!
sk: Thanks Pravin
People seem to think it's easy being a full time photographer, well from a full time photographer can tell them definitely "IT ISN'T EASY" smile

Well just keep doing what u doing and it WILL become a reality. The fact one takes awesome photographs is not really enough to make one a living as a full time photographer, being a dang good business man takes up so much of your time that u find urself being a business man then a photographer most time grin
sk: sound advice
your work is easily good enough asiko, i just feel in todays world its not who you are its who you know that makes all the difference.
sk: very true Tim
this is pretty good. aspiring to be a fulltime photographer is difficult...certainly. as s&s mentioned earlier...being a fulltime photographer is hard work. i was more at ease when i was hoping to become one...tongue this is now my livelihood and it's not easy.
but i LOVE it. the most difficult thing is to keep yourself motivated...as there ar times all doors seem shut. part of the secret is to be determined and keep on keepin on. in my case...i'm not easily motivated and i'm discouraged quite fast. luckily i have my other half, also a photographer, pushing me as hard and as much as possible when necessary. ( i truly need it). there have been many times i wished i was interested in something else other than this horribly expensive career choice....
good luck asiko... dreaming is half the battle.
i'd know. but where would we be without dreams right?
sk: thanks a lot for the advice Sarina
and Tim is extremely correct....that rule is constant here in The Netherlands....it's sometimes not even who u know but what papers u have. :s even portfolios don't count with some magazines and galleries....typical dutch i must say. typical.
sk: what do you mean by what papers you have?
sorry........papers = degree ...proof that u have studied for what u claim as career choice.
the preferences goes to those with degrees for photography instead of those with portfolios. unfortunately....:s
Fantastic creation. Excellent production.
I would just remove the wings, they don't fit so well with the metal looking man. Though probably I would change the whole concept of the image.
sk: thanks Paul, the guy was actually wearing the wings so that would change the whole concept
Good Lord ! Your works are fantastic...more like scene from my dreams...fantastic ! splendid !

This is an excellent concept and it stirs up some emotions for me. And it may be hard to do this for a living but it is well worth it.
