Yellow stripes

Can't think of a title, can U? decided to move away from portraits for a while.  This is quite different to my previous BEE shot. Yesterday evening I spotted this bee while I was throwing the rubbish, it was sitting on some lavendar, quickly quickly get ur camera and here was the result.

So how does it compare to my previous BEE. I like Sinems title, so I am using it, thanx madam

YELLOW STRIPES? (for title)
You've managed to get the fuzzy furriness of the bee so well, although I am not a huge fan of anything that crawls, creeps, flies or buzzes, I can't help but feel compassion for the little beasty. Great macro!
àsìkò: thanx for the title, I'm gonna use it. wheres ur naughty trouble causing husband today? LOL

Ah, the best macro I've seen in the last 15 mins ;-) I must say, it looks a LOT like one of those furry toys ppl buy for their kids. I'm surprised it didn't fly away. Love the striking colours and the angle.

I dunno for the title... "Sitting Yellow" ? lol that one came from "sitting pretty" tongue
àsìkò: thanx very much Mia

I like the other bee, it's great, but this new one... wow... It looks kinda like someone took that giant bug from starship troopers (reference to what the hell i'm talking about goes here: http://d89156.i50.quadrahosting.com.au/images/mgp910010.jpg ), and spray painted him with yellow stripes... He's MONSTER ALIEN BUG! now... Only less threatening with those giant yellow stripes that make him look like he's a crossing guard... Maybe that's it.. Is this really a giant alien crossing guard bee? And the thing he's standing on is really some kind of alien horse creature that he rides to work in the mornings? maybe?... Okay.. guess not... He's a frickin' kick ass bee tho regardless... Let's name him.. Mr. Bungle... k? done.. Mr. Bungle it is... smile

And the deal with Sparklite and myself (i'm a He, incase you didn't guess already), is that we are old friends, we've known each other, wow.. like 15 years now... What the rest of the deal is with me.. well scientists are still trying to figure that one out... If they find anything, I'll be sure to let you know... Check out my blog for occasional insight into the general insanity, or lack there of (depends on the day and the cycle of the moon)... smile

I'm not a fan of square crops though, don't forget the composition, it's not about just getting close. Just a private comment between friends.

Having "chased" bees before I'm absolutely blown away!
If this isn't "enough" detail captured then I wonder what you're looking for? A 5D :p
àsìkò: yeap a 5D, I would get fair amount of detail, much better than my 350D, but why settle for a 5D, lets get a 22 megapixel mamiya grin

Hats off to you man! This so cool! Can't say much more, its already been said by everyone else. Can we see more of this?
Love this shot man. Incredible detail, I can see every hair. I like this one better because it's a friendly little honeybee as opposed to the sinister YellowJacket in the previous one. Man, I can't get over the incredible detail. Fan-friggin-tastic.

This is a great macro shot àsìkò. Was this handheld? Tripod? Either way the focus, DOF and background is spot-on. I hadn't seen your earlier 'bee' shot, it's a bit overly-saturated yellow for my taste, but apart from that it's a cracker too. However, in that post, your 'bee' is definitely a wasp and you were a lot closer to it than I would get!

Wow ths is so good it looks fake! Like a stuffed bee.

When I was 2 I tried to pet a bee...you can guess how well that went over with the bee...OUCH!

The Subster "Likey" Hugh time, Impressed. Dang, need to go out and take shots like these, but me hate all forms of bugs and me a cowards cowards.

I get the idea you do not like the policy of Subster and totally disagree about it. Fair enough. Point taken. However discouragements and snipes at those who may have subscribed to it not nice. Keep em to umself tongue
àsìkò: dude its a free country, i say what I want, thanx for stopping by
So, àsìkò, When do we get the next shot in the ALIEN BUGS series? I'm waiting on the edge of my seat here, you've got us all pent up with suspense... I feel like going "are we there yet? are we there yet? are we there yet?" like a little kid waiting for you to post another ALIEN BUG!!!! smile
