A life-sized statue of Wallace and Gromit is to be built in Preston, Lancashire - the home city of their creator Nick Park.

The Oscar-winning animator is working on designs for a permanent bronze tribute to the pair.

Preston City Council must raise £100,000 to build the statue which it says would give a "boost" to the area.

(I was asked to make a longer comment so I've copied some text from another open browser window, I really only wanted to say 'wow!' and leave the impact of my single word to reflect the impact that your shot had...ho hum!!)

She's a cutie and I'd say she knows it. She looks like she is really having fun.
Very nice, I really like the reflection.

Great shot! I especially like the colors which matches the expression of her face.
Wonderful idea.... Ive always been impressed by ure levels of creativity, and i'm waiting for the time when u have the same amount of Skill to pull these "gems" off.

This for me almost did it. But, yup there is a BUT. its too tight a crop, the crowning glory would have to have seen the little girls head and arms in the mirroe reflection as well.

Some peeps might say, that's had, after all, this is not a posed but candid shot, Skee says, it's up to the photographer to scan the environment and get his/her mind thinking about likely scenarios and keep alert during the whole process.

All in all, well.... its a wonderful shot turned nice unfortunately.

But like I said, you have a very creative mind, some don't use that to ure advantage.
